Product Warranty
1. Warranty (for Consumers)
Consumers – natural persons who purchase goods for personal, family, or household needs unrelated to business or profession – are covered by a statutory warranty established under Article 6.2287 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania.
This warranty is valid for 2 (two) years from the date of delivery (receipt) of the goods. During this period, the consumer has the right to file a claim regarding the quality of the goods if the goods do not meet the quality requirements.
The consumer must notify the seller of any non-conformity of the goods with the quality requirements no later than 2 (two) months from the date the non-conformity was discovered. The burden of proving that the consumer missed this deadline lies with the seller.
2. Commercial (Quality) Warranty
In addition to the statutory warranty, the seller or manufacturer may provide an additional commercial (quality) warranty. The commercial warranty is supplementary – it does not cancel or limit the consumer's rights arising from the statutory warranty. If a longer warranty period than that provided by law applies to a specific product, this will be indicated in the product description.
3. Filing a Claim and Returning Goods
If you notice a quality defect in a product, please contact us by email at info@beautykit.lt and provide a copy of the document confirming the purchase of the goods, along with a photo or other visual material clearly showing the defect.
Upon termination of the purchase agreement due to inadequate product quality:
- the consumer returns the goods to the seller at the seller's expense;
- the seller, upon receiving the returned goods or the consumer's proof that the goods were dispatched, will refund the price paid for the goods no later than within 14 (fourteen) days.
When contacting us regarding a potentially defective product, the consumer is not required to retain the original product packaging or present it to the seller. However, it is important to keep the document confirming the purchase (invoice, receipt) or a copy thereof.
4. Warranty for Business Clients (Legal Entities)
For business clients – legal entities and individuals purchasing goods for business or professional purposes – the statutory warranty provisions governing consumer rights protection do not apply.
For such buyers, the seller provides a 12 (twelve) month commercial quality warranty from the date of delivery of the goods, unless otherwise stated in the product description.
5. Terms and Conditions of Warranty Service
- When assembling furniture, the buyer must follow the assembly instructions provided with the goods.
- Goods must be used for their intended purpose and maintained in accordance with the care instructions.
- The warranty covers quality defects arising due to the manufacturer's fault or damage caused during transportation by the seller's transport. The warranty does not apply to naturally wearing parts or upholstery fabric.
- If you notice any defects during the warranty period, please contact us at info@beautykit.lt and attach a photo or other visual material clearly showing the defects. The seller undertakes to remedy manufacturing defects within 5–35 calendar days from the date the claim is registered.
6. Warranty Obligations Are Void in the Following Cases
- Damage caused by natural disasters (lightning, flooding, earthquake, fire), improper operating conditions, or intentional or negligent actions by the user.
- Damage caused by inappropriate or unauthorised power sources or electrical network failures.
- Damage caused by foreign objects, sand, liquid (corrosion, oxidation), food, insects, or similar substances entering the device, as well as failure to follow the instructions provided in the device's user manual.
- Damage occurring after purchase due to the device being dropped, struck, or damaged during transportation when the device is transported by the client themselves.
- Repairs were carried out by a service technician or person not authorised by the manufacturer.
Note. The terms and conditions set out in Sections 5 and 6 apply to the commercial (quality) warranty provided by the seller and to the warranty for business clients, and do not limit the consumer's rights arising from the statutory warranty (see Section 1).
