PRO STERIL, also known as SterilPro in Lithuania, sterilisation pouches with internal colour indicators are manufactured from sulphate cellulose, providing a durable and reliable solution for instrument sterilisation. With a density of 70 g/m², these sterilisation pouches offer optimal protection, allowing air molecules to pass through whilst effectively filtering bacteria and other microorganisms.

Colour indicators for sterilisation control

The key feature of PRO STERIL (SterilPro) sterilisation pouches is the use of internal colour indicators. These indicators play an important role in distinguishing sterilised instruments from non-sterilised ones, as they clearly change colour during the sterilisation process.

When the steriliser operates correctly, the indicators change from their initial colour, for example sand, to a bright violet, meeting established sterilisation standards.

To make it easy to verify sterilisation results, the indicators are strategically positioned in visible locations. After the sterilisation cycle is complete, the colour of each indicator is compared with a reference standard. If the indicator shows a negative control result, all instruments sterilised in that cycle are considered non-sterile.

Before placing instruments in the steriliser, they must be carefully sealed in the sterilisation pouches. After sterilisation, instruments can be stored directly in the packaging until use. The packaging is opened in front of the client, ensuring transparency and maintaining sterility.
